| My fellow Baltusians, President Burgmuller is a threat to our way of life. Baltusia is a land of opportunity, built upon foundations of hope, liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness. President Burgmuller, both through action, and inaction seeks to destroy these foundations. Little does she know, her castle is built upon pillars of sand. I know the people of Baltusia, I know they won't allow this to go on. I know that they are smarter. For years - almost a decade, in fact - we have been subject to what can only be described as a fascist state. President Burgmuller has made herself queen of this once democratic land. She has imposed nothing but fear through absolute power. Her most recent suggestions only further this. She proposed a bill earlier this week which included increased investigatory powers, effectively allowing police to search you, your property, and your family, whenever and without proper reason. She even proposed, in this bill, the ability to censor anti-government "hate speech", attempting to silence those that oppose her despotic rule. We won't let this happen. I've had enough of her calling the Democratic Party undemocratic, I've had enough of her bullying the opposition and, by God, have I had enough of her authoritarian rule, which is why I stand before you today. Soon after this speech, I'm taking a claim to the civil court against Alexandra Burgmuller for actions against me and my friends on behalf of all of Baltusia, then, after that, I'll have an importance announcement to make regarding the future of this country. May God bless this fine nation in this difficult time and may we find a conclusion to this mess as soon as possible. God bless Baltusia, Thank you. William Horncastle Democratic Party |

| Message | Baltusian people, The only person who is a threat to our democracy is Mr Horncastle. As many of you know I am retiring from politics at the end of this presidential term. I am now the age of 78 and the people of Baltusia, the people you are speaking to, have elected me every single time. The people who don't vote for you Mr Horncastle, our citizens who deserve protection and security. I have put in these temporary 1 year plans to protect this nation against a second coup, something which Mr Horncastle initiated. You are undemocratic, you have no definitive political position- you said to me 'endorse me as president and I will join you in the right alliance otherwise I will join the left and oppose all bills you put through'. All you want is power Mr Horncastle and you will do anything to get that. That's not right for politics, that's not right for the hard working people of this great nation and that's not right for our future genetation. I am delighted that we have a left-right split here in Baltusia, it gives the people a voice, a party they can choose based on their views. They don't want a party which wants power, they want a party who provides a platform to serve the people and allow the hard working people to be secure in the frame of mind that their children and grandchildren will be safe and have a quality life. You are undemocratic and simply just out there for power. So, why don't you stop the abusive coups and speeches and let me get on with serving this great nation.
