| Rp: Sarah Grey, (renowned political interviewer) walks to the podium followed by all the party leaders of Rutania who each go to there respective podium. "Good evening, I'm Sarah Grey and tonight I'm joined by the 8 party leaders to debate all the important topics and issues of the nation and the world. These debates should hopefully help you to decide who you will vote for in the next election" (Under a year- IG) OOC: the election will take place in just under two days and with time differences ect. I figured we should start them now so everyone gets a chance. "To begin each party leader should make his/her opening statement, then we shall move on to other topics." "Topics we intend to cover after opening statements: Civil Rights Economic Policy Infrastructure Foreign Affairs These are the main topics we intend to cover. We would like to be able to cover more, but as we have limited time we will only deal with these topics, unless we have extra time and have already covered all 4. The RPP is committed to the following bedrock principles: economic justice, social equity, military strength, and a strong economy that provides for the welfare of all of its citizens. | Message | My party believe economic policy should be at the centre of all government, it is what dictates how people think of is and it dictates all policy created by governments. Over years in government we have introduced or helped to or inspired policy to be created that has stopped the loss of money of this nation and changed important monetary policy. We scrapped the salary cap allowing people to go as high as their talents take them. We have deceased the bid get deficit and we have tried to south through the house several bills. If you let us win a majority then we vow to push through the bills that were defeated in the last when we were a small party, we will reduce the deficit even further and helip this country to flourish even further. The Minister for Finance Philip Duncan has done amazing work in the minstry and we shall reinstate him in his ministry if we can so he can continue his work. We believe that we truly can make this country as great as it once was if we are voted into a majority. We will reduce unemployment, and instate capitols policies that reduce government interference slightly and help people to flourish on their own. Although we do recognize that the government does sometimes needs to help at certain times and we do need to help the poorer in our society. | Message | My opponent in his speech highlighted a critical difference between our parties- namely the issue of class. The RPP works for the abolition of class. When each person is allowed to reach his or her God-given potential, the economy will flourish. Man is the primogenitor of all capital. It is man which ascribes value to each thing upon the earth; therefore when we concern ourselves first and foremost with the welfare of mankind, the bottom line will take care of itself. The next issue is the national debt. Some parties in the House have attempted to amend our debt by slashing spending in key sectors such as education, tourism, the environment, and healthcare. My party stands firmly against these proposals. If the RPP attains the majority, there will be NO austerity. At this time I would like to applaud the work of my dear friend and comrade Mr. Krishnan of the DPP and his proposed budget which put the people first! As a citizen of this country I am proud of his statesmanship and his ingenuity. My party has some unique ideas for dealing with the budget crisis. The RPP will withdraw Rutania from cumbersome "free" trade agreements that hurt our workers and cripple our manufacturing sector. We will institute tariffs and create revenue and win respect from our allies and instill fear into the hearts of our enemies. With trade as a key component of our economic plan, we will win in a way that puts money not only into government coffers but into the pocketbooks of the working people, the men and women who are the backbone of Rutania. Commensurate with our commitment to the working people and the abolition of the oppressive yoke of class, we would introduce more regulation in the banking sector. Everybody should play by the rules. All people should be subordinate to the law. Whether you were born in a shack or a mansion, all should be equal before the mantle of justice. |

| Message | This senseless debating is exactly what the Libertarian Party tries to prevent. Decisions are being made in the house that could be made by individuals, employers or communities. Instead a group of corrupted men that try to change the country and enact laws in this bureaucratic house. The Libertarian stands for a simple proposal: freedom. This means as less government power/ influence as possible, we do not encourage anarchy and we do not support a nosy government. Our economic policy is very simple, as less government as possible and let the free market provide growth to our economy. A free market has its own rules and as soon as the government involves itself it the economy the free market will be disturbed leading to a recession. Therefore we're against bailing out our industries and banks, we're against subsidies and against salary caps. We have passed several laws granting our economy more freedom such as eliminating salary caps. We stand for everyone when it comes to the banking sector, we will not bail out the big banks, we will not use your savings for expensive government projects, we will privatize the banking sector.
