Description[?]:
A bill to put an end to state-sponsored secularist persecution and discrimination of religious organizations. The Churches in Zardugal have always stood as the strongest and most efficient bulwark against statist tyranny, providing social services, education, and high moral standards that stand in contrast to the opression of the all-emcompassing modern state. Should this bill pass the Federation of Zardugal recognizes as its official religions the Terran Patriarchal Church and the Coburan Apostolic Tewahedo Church, as core components of Zardic culture and identity and the strongest defenders of charity, compassion, and human dignity. Religious freedom shall also continue to be fully recognized and defended, while the Federation will take measures to avoid religious radicalism and irrational fanaticism. Message | "The theocratic HDPP wants to not only shove religion down the throats of our citizens, but to show preference to those religions it deems acceptable at the expense of others. It falsely claims to defend religious freedom while allowing its preferred religions the special privileges of official government recognition, the right to set up schools, the avoidance of taxation, and the right to send missionaries into our nation. This bill does not end persecution by secularists, which doesn't exist in the first place, but instead it commences the persecution OF secularists, as well as the persecution of every religion that the HDPP does not approve of. I say it now: The SNT will NEVER support the institution of theocracy in Zardugal!" -Anastasia Mojsido, SNT Critic for Education and Culture |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
