Bill: Income tax proposal of January 4072

Details

Submitted by[?]: Former Nationmaster of Rutania

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4072

Description[?]:

The Conservative Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Commonwealth of Rutania. What we have done is increased taxes by 2% for each bracket except for the lowest two for which we have increased 1% each.We believe these changes should be made so we can grow our economy and become an economic super power once more. I believe that we should not increase spending immediately if this bill passes. I think we should wait, build up our reserves for a while. And then we can increase public spending improve lives, and then lower taxes. Thank You.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I would like to point out that we already have a surplus and that raising taxes are useless and in fact nothing more than stealing the people's money and not spending it on anything.

MessageMe Speaker,
We have a surplus but a very very small one, my plan is to increase taxes, let the surplus take effect for maybe 6 months, and then increase public spending to improve the lives of our citizens, when we have a large economy, that is powerul enough to make important foreign and internal investments and still be a strong and large economy.

MessageI have said repeatedly thensurplusnwoukd not last for long, around 6 months. We would use that to build up our reserves and then increase spending and improve lives. We have just cut the defecit and we believe we should start to grow our economy rather than leave it at what we have now.
