Internal Affairs Minister Lewis Grant wants the police to be able to search people or property quickly and efficiently without a warrant if they believe a crime was committed, he said ''If police believe a crime was committed they should be able to search the suspect or their property without having to wait to obtain a warrant from a court. This gives the suspect(s) time to get rid of evidence before the police arrive.'' |
