Bill: Rutanian United Front Proposal 4075

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Party of Rutania

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4075

Description[?]:

Neither the left nor the right has the ability to form a coalition without the support of the National Front. These are perilous times for Rutanian democracy, and therefore the need for all democrats to unite against the fascists is clearer than ever.

The DSPR is proud of the record of the previous coalition government, in which the parties of the National United Front and the Conservatives were able to put aside their differences and work together in the national interest. It is clear that this time, however, we need to go much further, and include parties that we have traditionally bitterly opposed, such as the Libertarians. We therefore propose an anti-fascist coalition of all Rutanian parties excluding the National Front.

In order to ensure the survival of the coalition, we recommend a moratorium on all controversial or radical legislation which is likely to cause disagreements among the coalition; essentially any legislation with a clear right or left orientation, or proposing major restructuring of the economy.

Seats are allocated according to seat shares in the house, and in order of vote share, in order to minimise disputes.

MessageFascism has disapeared since the 20th century . The ideologies that the NF promotes are written into the party description . I would like that DSP communists to stop this propaganda And as you can see the people of this country trusted me with the formation of the goverment and also gave the NF the presidential seat .

MessageI am proud of our previous coalition, I believe that up until the disappearance of the CUP we managed to work together relatively successfully. Obviously I am extremely disappointed with the election result. I believe that this coalition can work and possibly will work. And so I will vote to pass and hopefully we can deliver another successful coalition.

MessageContrary to what the National Front claim, fascism is still very much alive. The NF themselves were until very recently the the NFP: National Fascist Party, and in neighbouring Aloria, the largest party is also openly fascist. (OOC: and National Front itself is used by far-right parties in the UK and France).

MessageThe National Front was also the Democratic Party and the Liberal-Democratic Party if you remember , now it has been restructured to what it is today a National Liberal and Populist Party under the name of the National Front a name which is shorter but still expresses its beliefs. What you call is neo-fascism , fascism is clearly dead .

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
