Bill: Opposition Budget Proposal

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4080

Description[?]:

To continue upon lowering taxes and repealing the Koloman Plan, we set about proposing lowering our budget, giving priority to more important sectors. We have decided to increase Justice funding, which was underfunded along with an increase in trade, but other than that all changes have been to lower the budget sensibly. Science & Technology for example was far too high, especially for something which could so easily be funded by the private sector.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.

Random quote: "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius, and a lot of courage, to move in the opposite direction." - Albert Einstein
