We can only support articles 6 and 8. We feel that most articles go too far in their objectives and would only hurt us in the long run. Article 2 only punishes people for living in more populated regions and gives the ability for less populated regions to decide laws for more populated regions. Article 3 will hurt our organ trade and cause a shortage of organs. Article 4 and article 5 basically destroy the tobacco industry in Beluzia. This not only hurts business but also hurts personal freedoms by allowing a few politicians to decide that you cannot smoke because it's unhealthy. Article 7 takes away a decision that local government really should be concerned with. Finally, article 9 makes any kind of government project much more difficult to do and will strain our budgets by forcing it to be planned around all private property.

MessageMadam Speaker,

We welcome the highly liberal and positive changes outlined in Articles 1, 3 and 9; as well as the much needed equality of regional representation proposed in Article 2.
We do take exception, however to the removal of local government say over industrial hemp and nuclear power, as outlined in Articles 6 and 7. We believe these issues have considerable effects on the local environment, and it is right that citizens have local representation on this issue. I'm afraid we also regard with extreme distaste the affronts to our liberty proposed in Articles 4 and 5, with regard to smoking laws. Further, we could not accept forced closure of private schools, as proposed in Article 8. Discourage them, by all means, and improve our state education system - I believe Beluzia should pride itself on spectacular education of the next generation - however, banning private schools will simply mean private tutoring will continue in a more secretive manner, with much less regulation, endangering the education of children up and down the country.
We can be flexible with regard to support for Article 10, assuming our concerns may be addressed on other issues.

While we commend article 1, we cannot support the provisions on smoking. We feel that we should not be going on a crusade against tobacco. If people wish to do it, we should not be in the position of saying where and where not they can do it.
