Message | Mr. Speaker, Your proposal appears to be a reduction of individual freedom. If local governments remain in control they can be more lenient and allow anyone to purchase fireworks as they determine appropriate. Message | I now see that this has the opportunity to possibly reduce rights of the people. I apologize for this error in judgement but, if left to local governments, could further reduce rights than this bill. If this is to fail then I will submit a bill to guarantee the rights of the people are not infringed upon. |
