Your proposal appears to be a reduction of individual freedom. If local governments remain in control they can be more lenient and allow anyone to purchase fireworks as they determine appropriate. Your proposal would outright prohibit youth from purchasing fireworks.

MessageI now see that this has the opportunity to possibly reduce rights of the people. I apologize for this error in judgement but, if left to local governments, could further reduce rights than this bill. If this is to fail then I will submit a bill to guarantee the rights of the people are not infringed upon.
