Voting deadline: December 4088

Description[?]:

As the BPDP has been renamed the BRRP and the ideology of the party has been completely revamped, General Secretary Sir Julius Romanus Furgenster announced a shadow cabinet reshuffle. The following is the old shadow state council:

Head of Government: Dr Gabriel Florea A.P.S, B.A. (ultra-radical communist)
Foreign Affairs: Dr. Jean-Marie Vallier A.S, M.Phil, A.P.S, B.A (ultra-radical libertarian)
Internal Affairs: Dame Angela Ventura PhD, A.P.S (ultra-radical socialist)
Finance: Dr Johnson Henry Greg PhD, A.P.S, B.A., B.S, M.Phil. (radical libertarian)
Defence: Sir Janus Hartmann A.S, A.P.S, B.A., B.S (ultra-radical socialist)
Justice: Dr Marlene Davidson A.S, M.Phil, A.P.S, B.A (ultra-radical communist)
Infrastructure and Transport: Senator Janus Hartmann II A.P.S, PhD (ultra-radical libertarian)
Health and Social Services: Professor Harriette Odell Boon A.P.S, PhD, M.Phil, B.A., B.S (ultra-radical socialist)
Education and Culture: Dr Cecilia Rasmussen A.P.S, B.A., B.S (ultra-radical liberal socialist)
Science and Technology: Dr Nelda Valorie Beverly B.S., M.Phil (ultra-radical socialist)
Food and Agriculture: Professor Marie-Anne Smith B.A (ultra-radical socialist)
Environment and Tourism: Dame Jane Marie-Anne Varman B.A., B.S (radical libertarian)
Trade and Industry: Dr Ericka Ronnette Haenraets B.A., B.S., M.Phil, PhD, A.P.S., A.S (ultra-radical socialist)

The old shadow cabinet is composed of radical libertarians, socialists and communists. Furgenster said that a shadow cabinet like this was no problem, but he wanted to make a few changes as to make sure that when in Cabinet, the BRRP's Ministers would meet the ideology of the party, instead of having Ministers that were off the page of the party's ideology. He also addressed the recent feud of Hartmann and his son as another reason of the cabinet reshuffle. When asked whether the cabinet reshuffle would have them dropped from the BRRP Frontbench, Furgenster was infuriated and said: "Wait until I announce the new shadow cabinet, alright? I'm the boss here, not you. When I stand, you never sit. Stand up and show some respect!" After calming down, he announced the new Frontbench of the BRRP. Here is the list:

Head of Government: Dr. Jean-Marie Vallier A.S, M.Phil, A.P.S, B.A (ultra-radical Metzist)
Foreign Affairs: Dame Angela Ventura PhD, A.P.S (ultra-radical revolutionary socialist)
Internal Affairs: Dr Marlene Davidson A.S, M.Phil, A.P.S, B.A (ultra-radical communist)
Finance: Dr Johnson Henry Greg PhD, A.P.S, B.A., B.S, M.Phil. (ultra-radical Kaminskiist)
Defence: Senator Janus Hartmann II A.P.S, PhD (ultra-radical anarchist communist)
Justice: Professor Harriette Odell Boon A.P.S, PhD, M.Phil, B.A., B.S (ultra-radical left-wing populist)
Infrastructure and Transport: Dr Ericka Ronnette Haenraets B.A., B.S., M.Phil, PhD, A.P.S., A.S (ultra-radical democratic socialist)
Health and Social Services: Dame Katherine Jean-Marie Adamson PhD, A.P.S (ultra-radical revolutionary syndicalist)
Education and Culture: Dr Cecilia Rasmussen A.P.S, B.A., B.S (ultra-radical liberal socialist)
Science and Technology: Dr Nelda Valorie Beverly B.S., M.Phil (ultra-radical Leonidist)
Food and Agriculture: Professor Marie-Anne Smith B.A (ultra-radical democratic socialist)
Environment and Tourism: Dame Jane Marie-Anne Varman B.A., B.S (radical Kaminskiist)
Trade and Industry: Sir Janus Hartmann A.S, A.P.S, B.A., B.S (radical libertarian)

The temporary opposition front bench, as expected, has gone through a minor (or you can call it major) revamp, with some current members being promoted to higher positions in cabinet. The temporary shadow opposition cabinet is one of the most far-left shadow cabinets of the BRRP (formerly known as BPDP), with many ultra-radical communists and socialists being appointed (many of them changed their views). Many political professors from Fort Thorne National University praised the new shadow cabinet, unlike their previous stances, where they said that a radical shadow cabinet would disenfranchise voters. They said that a far-left shadow cabinet was in line with the views of the Beluzians, citing the 61.46% of Beluzians that voted for the socialist camp, compared to the 38.54% of Beluzians that voted for the moderate camp. They also stated that such a far-left shadow cabinet would not disenfranchise any left-wing voters, but it would possibly attract many supporters of the SWP to the BRRP, as the majority of its supporters identified themselves as communists and that they were just voting for the SWP as to create a majority for both parties in the Senate.

The most surprising in the cabinet reshuffle was the demotion of Sir Janus Hartmann from his position as Shadow Spokesperson for Defence to Shadow Spokesperson for Trade and Industry. Many have attributed this as a sort of revenge for Janus Hartmann II by demoting him to such a low position. During the Speakership elections, it was revealed by a spokesperson for the Hartmann household that the two had had a rift over political and policy positions and that Janus Hartmann II had left the household and was living with his own family (not the Hartmann family). Ever since then, father and son have not had a conversation with each other, any direct eye contact or any exchange of greetings towards each other and it is not known when the wounds of the split family will heal. When asked by reporters over his demotion of Hartmann to Trade and Industry, he did not cite the family rift as a influencing factor, but instead said that Hartmann was aging and that the amount of workload was too great for him (strategic operations, operational strategy, defence planning, strategic international partnerships etc) and that Hartmann had privately asked Furgenster for a lower ranking position in cabinet. As for the promotion of Hartmann II from Infrastructure and Transport to Defence, Furgenster replied angrily: "Please stop thinking this is about the family feud. This promotion has nothing to do with revenge or anything of that sort. Newer faces are needed and policy changes are needed in every Department. I'm the boss here, not you, so shut up and sit down."

Many members of the BRRP have praised Furgenster's new Frontbench, saying that a shadow cabinet like this has brought electoral success to the BRRP in the preceding four elections, never dropping below 5%. Many members have also praised Furgenster for softening his grip within the party and gradually freeing up freedoms for party members, which he was criticised for a few years back for suppressing people that did not meet his own political views.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).
