Bill: Religious Protection Bill 4097
Details
Submitted by[?]: Native Likatonian Party (F)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4098
Description[?]:
The proud nation of Likatonia was founded upon the principle that we were a united people, a united culture, and a united faith. Now, however, we are under attack not from enemies without, but from enemies within. Distortions of the Hosian faith, and false religions brought about by foreign hordes, threaten our unity. Likewise, we are plagued by a notion that religion has no meaning for a people, and that all beliefs - even erroneous or non-Likatonian creeds - should be permitted. The NLP proposes to the House, and our good people, that this be changed, so that our true and national faith would be protected. |

Message | Religion is a purely private matter. No one, the state or private people, should intervene other than making sure, no one is discriminated by religious beliefs some people have. And education should never be unregulated, especially religous schools. This would only lead to zealots and more struggle between the working class. |

Message | We are quite shocked by the view of the LKIP on this matter. Surely they can see, just as permitting unwanted hordes to enter this nation can bring disunity and confusion, the influx of erroneous doctrine can likewise bring disunity and confusion - if not more. Religion does not bring unrest - rather, multiculturalism brings unrest, for it forces opposing ideas to dwell together. How can we permit our great Hosian faith to dwell together with heresies and blasphemies which state Hosianity is itself a blasphemy? Was it by anything other than Hosian thought upon which our founding countrymen based their beliefs? Was it from no other source upon which this nation was founded? Can we truly expect Likatonian values to be seen in the unbelieving hordes within our ranks? The NLP is not supporting a state-sponsored religion in the sense that clergymen will run the country - but we must protect our citizens from those who would threaten the very foundation of our nation. Upon this belief, we move this to a vote, to show the Likatonian people which politician truly cares for their citizenry, and who does not. |

Message | The LKIP have revealed themselves to be incoherent in how they wish to preserve our foundations. The NLP will gladly take up the mantle of state protector. |

Message | Accept it, no one will support your monstrous ways. Your will is not the will of the people, otherwise your party would have more members and more voters. There are even more voters for me than for you. |
