Bill: On deforestation and replantation of trees following commercial clearing.
Details
Submitted by[?]: Rutanian Green Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4099
Description[?]:
This bill is designed to enforce a strict, "leave it just like it was before", type of policy towards tree clearing. Under this policy, we promote our position from simply encouraging the replacement of logged trees to enforcing said policy. The minimum this bill will call for is a replacement and replanting of all trees logged, and so ensure deforestation and desertification does not become an issue later on in this nation. |
Proposals

Proposal[?] to change The government's policy on tree plantation.
Old value:: The government encourages, but does not require new and replacement plantation.

Message | I thank the leaders of the LPR, the Democratic Front, and the CMPR for their support. As it stands, we would currently garner 218 seats in the house for this bill. I would like to hear from the other parties before moving this to floor, though, and see where they stand. Thank you everyone who has supported this bill, and will continue to support it. Jackson Ruhr, leader of the LDP. |

Message | I have thought about this proposal carefully, and believe it will not create a significant burden to businesses. The bill mandates they have to only plant the seeds, which they can easily get from the very trees they cut. It does not mandate that they nurture or grow the trees, rather, which could create a considerable cost in businesses. Rather, we leave that job to mother nature. Ecological legislation is important to safeguard our nation's resources and to fight against global warming. Please, legislators, support me in this endevour. |
