Message | We oppose this bill due to the evidence that passive smoking can be harmful to other members of the public who are non smokers themselves and we believe all people should be free to enter public locations without facing the dangers of lung cancer. |

Date | 05:45:35, May 26, 2005 CET | From | MLC Old Endralonian Resistance | To | Debating the Smokers' Rights Act |
Message | even without the risk of lung cancer the anti social qualities of smoking cause pain and suffering although temporary to those in the public domain, The MLC considers this passive assault and will not accept it in public areas. |

Message | Define public area's though - a park is a public area but thanks to being open-air is ventilated enough to diminish the risks of passive smoking. It should be allowed in some public places. By voting yes, I am voting to give public places the choice of whether smoking is allowed. |

Message | I think to truly understand the effects of this bill you have to look at how it will be implemented. Are police likely to be scouring every park corner and back alley for smokers ? I doubt it . This law is merely a means to force smokers to chose smoking locations which will not cause complaint . |

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
