Bill: Whaling Reform 4097 - Retry
Details
Submitted by[?]: Native Likatonian Party (F)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4099
Description[?]:
Likatonia needs the supplies which whaling brings. We must provide energy and light to our people, and hence we must relax whaling laws for the benefit of our populace. At the same time, common sense calls that we prevent the draining of this precious resource. We therefore propose establishing quotas alongside the acceptance of whale hunting. OOC: Reposting this, with a reminder to players that, according to our Cultural Protocols ( http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=474278 ), Likatonia is to be RP'd like 1800's America. Ergo, suggesting things like "wind, solar panels, biofuels, nuclear power, hydroelectricity," etc., as sources of energy, would be out of place, RP-wise. However, whales used for energy supply wouldn't be. |
