Bill: OOC: Discussion: Security Council nominations

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan People's Justice Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4784

Description[?]:

Looks like a new part of the game has recently been added :)
A "UN Security Council" type arrangement.
http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6915

Four new law issues have been added, as a way of providing nations with a way to officially vote on who is to occupy the four seats.
Every nation is permitted to vote on all four seats, not only their own continent's.

My tentative initial suggestions:

Seat A (to be filled by a nation from Artania)
Luthori

Seat B (to be filled by a nation from Majatra)
Istalia

Seat C (to be filled by a nation from Seleya)
Kalistan

Seat D (to be filled by a nation from any of the other continents)
Sekowo

Kalistan is one of the most RP-active nations of all, and they're very interested in matters such as this; I feel that they'd do a good job and take it very seriously. Plus we share some diplomatic links.

Luthori and Istalia are quite busy and active nations, and Kirlawa additionally has cultural-demographic links (to varying degrees) with both; as we do with Sekowo.

I'm certainly open to other suggestions, though.

(Well, except for voting for ourselves, that is.
Right now Kirlawa is too busy, too frantic, for me OOCly already.
I very very much do _not_ want it to become even _more_ hectic still, with the additional duties which this would impart.)

Are these four nominations acceptable to all parties, or might someone prefer different nation(s) for one or more of the seats? Let's discuss it here, please.

Some possible alternative suggestions I'd also be happy with, if other parties would prefer these over the above:
A) Rutania or Beluzia; likewise very active nations, though the cultural links are secondhand (_through_ Luthori).
B) Kalopia-Wantuni; I like the primary player there. Or Barmenia; an experienced and knowledgeable player. Or Solentia; perpetually very active.
C) Hard to pick a second choice from Seleya. Maybe Likatonia, though I'm not familiar with their interest in international RP. Or Mordusia?
D) Lourenne; somebody I know from another forum. ;)
Or Egelion; one of the most active nations of all, bursting at the seams.
Or, Davostag, for fun. :D

When I originally posted this, a few hours ago, my suggestion for seat D had been Hutori ... but looking over the two nations, Sekowo is interested (and this might give the lone experienced player there something to do) ... whereas one or more parties in Hutori look like they might be feeling like I do ;) (i.e. they've got enough going on in their own nation and don't want this added on top of it).
Plus we have considerable cultural links with Sekowo, even more so than with Hutori.
