Bill: Ending Nationalisation

Details

Submitted by[?]: Vorwärts Republik!

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4104

Description[?]:

Herr Speaker,

The government has no real place in the free market, we must make ourselves as pro-business as possible. We cannot afford to nationalisation failing businesses. A replacement will always make its way into the market, however we recognise that vital businesses must be protected not through nationalisation but through subsidisation, which will allow the business to still function privately rather than being managed by the state.

MessageHerr Speaker,

We don't believe it's right to simply bail businesses out every time they face bankruptcy. Companies won't try to avoid it as much when they lean on hard times because they'll be on the mind set of "oh if we stop trying to scrape along, the government will just go ahead and pay for us". Plus note how this proposal would subsidize all businesses, not just ones that are essential to Dorvik. You preach about the government having no real place in the free market, your proposal would actually make us more involved and less efficient, the people of Dorvik should not have to bail out companies!
