MessageMr President, members of Congress,

There seems across-the-board support for the Kalistani visit - I thak everyone for agreeing to this. So with no more hesitation I ask the newly-appointed Foreign Affairs Spokesperson of Kalistan, Tony Curti, to address Congress and outline his plans for continued entente-cordial between our two countries. Afterwards, I suggest party leaders and other key figures ask questions as they see fit. Over to you, Mr Curti...

Thank you.

MessageI have a question for Kalistani what will you do for us if you get the seat? Will you make sure the people of Baltusia have a voice in international affairs?

MessageGreetings to all assembled,

I begin by thanking the Baltusian Congress for allowing me to visit this historic institution and address the concerns that both our nations have. I believe we will have a very productive communication and particular thanks to the Patriotic Party of Baltusia for facilitating the trip.

To briefly respond to the question by the Progressive Party Speaker, I am not here representing necessarily in relation to the Security Council Seat, we have set up a campaign group to deal with those issues. I will say that Kalistan will be seeking to represent everybody, not just individual nations or governments, and that is why we have been talking to people from across Terra to guide us in this election. Now to the matter at hand.

All neighbouring nations have conflicts, it is inevitable that such close proximity produces situations where Kalistan and Baltusia disagree over matters. We should accept this and focus on minimising the impact of these 'rivalries' if you will, rather than trying to escalate them. With that in mind, I would like to thank the Conservatives and Syndicalists for their attempt to control the President's reactionary response to what is essentially political name-calling.

From Kalistan's point of view, we lack an understanding of where the remarks attributed to us have come from. There is no record of them in the Kalistan for C or Kalistani Republic thread nor do they appear on a bill in the National Assembly of Kalistan. As Foreign Affairs Minister, I must admit it concerns me that the President is willing to 'increase our military budget to show our strength'. Nevertheless, I can see he does not represent a majority of the Congress so I will overlook the matter.

Going forward, I believe it could be beneficial for both nations to reaffirm the Baltusia-Kalistan Mutual Amity Agreement or perhaps look at how we can now develop the deal for a new age. If there are any further questions, I will be more than happy to respond.

Thank you.

MessageGreetings once again,

It would appear that during my time in Baltusia, certain parties have taken it upon themselves to publish negative and false statements about my nation rather than address me with these issues. Other than showing themselves up as cowards, afraid to talk to another man about an issue that needs resolving, this kind of nonsense allegation detracts from the real issues we need to discuss.

I would like to issue an apology to the Patriotic Party, who invited me here to talk about the relationship between our two great nations but who have been instead found that Machiavellian politicians have highjacked this opportunity to push their own agenda. I will once again welcome questions from Congress but if none are forthcoming I will have to return home to address other matters.

Apologies.

MessageNo, and we have no such claim. Kalistan has the backing of most of the OAC but we have been informed that one nation, Kafuristan, will be backing Baltusia.
