Bill: Education Reform Act 4110
Details
Submitted by[?]: Libertarian Socialist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 4112
Description[?]:
The RPA proposes wholesale changes to the way that we educate our children in Aloria. No child should be denied a school education based on the position of their parents' financial situation. We propose that we adopt a free-school system that will run alongside our private education system. These for-profit schools will no longer receive the governmental assistance they have had in the past. We will divert this money to the free education of all of Alorian's children, and ensure they receive the right education from a new National Curriculum. We believe that no child should ever fear physical harm from powers of authority and believes the state should formally ban the use of corporal punishment throughout all schools. |

Message | The RPA would like to open this up to the floor for debate before we send it through to a vote again. |
Date | 12:24:22, October 27, 2016 CET | From | Liberal Party (Plaid Ryddfrydol) | To | Debating the Education Reform Act 4110 |
Message | Mr Speaker We would not support this bill. Having a free public education system would mean spending and tax increases, which we cannot support. Despite this, we would support the article concerning the right to discipline children if it was proposed in a separate bill. Harri Powell, ANP Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker, We feel that investing in the future of our children will ensure a productive and vibrant workforce for decades to come. Whilst this will come with a spending increase, the long-term benefits much outweigh the short term. |
