With the legal authority granted to him by the Royal Ferman Act (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=486548) His Sublime Majesty the Sultan Umar II orders that: Section 1 All hydrocarbon enterprises in the Sultanate shall be reorganised and merged under the control of the re-created State Oil Company of Jakania (http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/State_Oil_Company_of_Jakania). Only this nationally owned Company shall have the authority to drill and process our national petrochemical resources. Section 2 A Board appointed by the government shall run the Company. It's composition shall be > President and CEO > Vice President > Director General of Managing and Planning Organisation > Minister of Trade, Industry and Oil (Chairman) > Minister of Finance > Minister of Environment > Minister of Science and Technology The Sultan may make changes to the size and composition of the Board as he sees fit. Section 3 The board shall be the decision making body of the Company and shall approve operations, annual budgets, balance sheets and financial statements. Section 4 The SOCJ shall have limited powers to legislate in relevant areas, with the Sultan retaining a veto. Section 5 The government of Jakania shall retain 100% of shares, which shall not be listed publicly. |
