Message | Mr Speaker The days of endless strikes need to be banished to the past. Striking without a reasonable reason should be punishable. This is a compromise between workers and employers. Bert Keller, ANP Trade and Industry Spokesman |
Date | 09:00:18, October 28, 2016 CET | From | Alorian Labor Party (ALP) | To | Debating the Striking Bill of 4111 |
Message | Mr. Speaker, This is a continuation of the ANP's war on workers. It is a key tenet of democracy that workers are able to go out on strike to secure better wages and conditions and to put a handbrake on abusive employers. The ALP opposes this bill 100% and will always stand on the side of workers. Oscar Kissling Ministry of Trade and Industry |

Message | Mr Speaker This is yet again an example of how the ALP like to twist our words. This would still allow workers to strike to secure better wages so they can look after their families, as well as making sure they are working in suitable conditions. However, this would stop workers striking for no reason. We are not allowing employers to fire striking workers whenever they please, but to give them the option to do so when it is necessary.
