Message | Mr. Speaker Healthcare is a right, not a paid privilege. We respect private citizens the right to purchase better care at a private health care institution or hospital, but all Hutorian citizens should not have to worry about whether their care is being covered or not by health insurance. Message | "Mr. Speaker, Nothing that requires taking from others can be a "right". Life, liberty, and property are rights we can guarantee because ensuring all peoples are secure in those does not take away from anyone elses' rights. Ensuring healthcare is a "right" will simply lead to a shortage of coverage and a massive budget shortfall." - Liam Thatcher Senator for Acton North Deputy Prime Minister |

Message | Mr. Speaker The Hutorian National Health Service is one of the best funded and capable Healthcare programs in the northern hemisphere, that has never seen a budget shortfall since it's creation. We have further increased its viability as a government program, and efficiency at delivering excellent service by allowing private hospitals to flourish and thrive; this has taken any excess possible strain from the system and allowed us to reinvest within the Healthcare system, further increasing its potentional. The less wealth off citizens are given the same excellent treatment as everyone else, allowing them to prosper, and those with means are still able to seek treatment at private facilities, as is their right. By the LDP and the HNP seeking to privatize, what is considered one the best health care systems in the world, shows a complete lack of understanding of that very system they seek to change. Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that. |
