This Act will take the first steps towards making our great nation a safe environment, in which our children can grow and learn. There are certain activities which, whilst appropriate for mature and responsible adults, are simply unsuitable for children. It is the duty of the state to protect children from these activities. This Act would therefore prohibit children under the age of sixteen years from working, and from buying tobacco or fireworks. |
