Message | For some years now defence has been underfunded. Respective government finance ministers have been loathe to spend in this area, even though we believe it is essential. Our view would be to increase spending by 2 billion dollars each presidential term... but how to afford it? We propose a series of measures that will save money in areas such as Science and Technology and Infrastructure and Transport - through privatisation of nationalised industries and ending unwarranted subsidies. This money can then be shifted to the military budget and would fund thousands of military jobs and pay for the hardware we need to help defend our nation. Thank you Defence Secretary - Colonel Octavius Black |

Message | Based on comments, I have removed article one regarding airport privatisation and will review this later. The other two articles can still bring substantial savings to the government treasury, which I hope will be spent on defence. Colonel Black |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
