Message | Yes. |
Date | 09:17:41, February 03, 2006 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | This is an utter outrage! If this passes we will resign from the cabinet, the coalition and ensure that thousands of your precious "GLBT" die in a reactionary moralistic crusade WHEN the religious right gets a majority again. Withdraw this bill and we will remain progressive and continue our work towards consensus policies. |
Date | 14:49:38, February 03, 2006 CET | From | Luthori Unionist Party | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | We are not so sure? Don't children deserve to be raised in normal family groupings? We cannot see how a child raised by two or more parents of the same sex is going to get a balanced upbringing. We would support the legalisation of cross dressing, we can see no harm in the matter. We are prepared to support Article 3, however we are dead against Article one and will not contemplte supporting the bill if it remains inside the bill. |

Message | Welcome LUP! I appreciate your concerns. However it is the position of the SPP, that all adult Luthori citizens deserve to have the same civil rights; they should not have different civil rights depending on their sexual orientation, their gender, or what religion they belong to. And while we appreciate the concerns about children, we can't see the goodness in taking away an adult citizen's rights, in order to give a child more rights than the adult. We are convinced, based on data widely available from nations around the world, that a loving home is the most important factor in raising children...not the chromosome count of the parents. |

Message | There is some truth in your statement, two loving partners are beneficial to a child, but the natural parents of the child are even more beneficial, then parents who resemble natural parents must also be more beneficial. |
Date | 16:41:54, February 03, 2006 CET | From | Redneck Party | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | Not only do those immoral heathens deserve hanging, the people of your party do for supporting them. |
Date | 17:08:33, February 03, 2006 CET | From | Shuggoth Progressive Party | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | What if the "natural parents" of the child are abusive? Are they still better parents just because? What if the child is currently living in foster care with no parents at all? |
Date | 19:38:47, February 03, 2006 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |

Date | 20:25:35, February 04, 2006 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | We're going to look like market regulators voting against this now: but that's better than being murdering immoral heathens! |
Date | 18:01:30, February 05, 2006 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | This proposal is a shame in the eyes of God and of all God-fearing-people! Under the disguise of a laissez-faire agenda, you are trying to impose on our people an Anti-Christian legislation! You can not force the God-fearing-people of Luthori to accept sodomy or killing babies in their mother's womb as a normal fact of life. |
Date | 18:27:03, February 05, 2006 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | Not another Christian conservative party. This is becoming the Luthori chliche. |
Date | 20:52:45, February 05, 2006 CET | From | Shuggoth Progressive Party | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | Really, like the Empire really needed yet another cheerleader for the blastocyst-rights brigade. I wonder what happens if too many parties try channeling the Will of God simultaneously...do you all spontaneously combust? One can only hope! (But seriously, we all aren't Christians in the Empire, check out the Luthori history bills in Debate, and see the Wiki for more info). |
Date | 05:39:02, February 06, 2006 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the Shuggoth Party Manifesto of 2180 |
Message | I don't seem to be channelling the same Will of God as the rest of them, must be the reception, damn, need to get a new satellite dish. While I am officially a secularist party (as in I don't push a specific faith's morality on the nation), I do believe God is left-wing (I am a progressive Catholic), and my party does have the endorsement of the Luthori Catholic Church (it is just a coincidence I control them both, I just haven't found a chance to have the LCC protest against the LGP on any issue yet). |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
Random quote: "It makes no difference, in principle, if this 'collective will' is divined by the edicts of a dictator or by majority vote, so long as the rights of the individual may still be sacrificed." - Robert Garmong |
