| Assemblymen and assemblywomen, no doubt many of you will be aware of the situation in Saridan. Not only has the regime, the so-called Council of Elders, committed itself to racial segregation and slavery, but at this minute is carrying out some of the gravest crimes against it's people the world has seen. Citizens of the island of Sint Pietereiland have been declared heretics and are being transported en masse to be reeducated and indoctrinated. This treatment of citizens by a government is unacceptable. As part of combined international action against this appalling regime, I believe Beluzia should cut all diplomatic and economic ties with Saridan. As a country with the idea of freedom at it's heart, we must not accept this treatment. I encourage the Assembly to vote with the Traditional Party in condemning this behaviour and imposing these sanctions. |

| Message | Usually we have the stance of opposing anything that resemble imperialism actions, such as interfering in other countries' sovereignty. But we can't shy away from this matter. Slavery and racial segregation? Sorry, but to pretend this is not our problem is almost a crime. We agree with the propposed bill. This goes beyond the political differences we have with the Traditional Party ideology. |
