Bill: Nuclear Weapon Reform 4125

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 4126

Description[?]:

We believe this proposal is far more sensible than current laws. Nuclear weapons are a serious business, they cause more devastation than almost any other kind of weapon on Terra. Their use will have consequences that could last for generations, as such we believe we need to be more reluctant to use them if it comes to it; we believe reserving the right to use them in retaliation to devastating attacks such as other nuclear attacks, chemical and biological attacks, as well as anything else major on that scale. If an attack is not within this category but is deemed to be just as damaging and we are unable to use an alternative, then a parliamentary vote can be taken to use it in that one instance.

Random fact: Whilst the use of non-English languages can be appropriate for nation names, party names, constitutional titles and other variables, English is the official language of communication in the game. All descriptive texts and public communications should be in English or at least appear alongside a full English translation.

Random quote: "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Winston Churchill
