Description[?]:

Welcome all, to the first Presidential Summary of a term.

I'd like to thank the State Chancellor, Pascal Rothenstein for inspiring me with the idea to do a summary at the end of every legislative term. I'd also like to thank him for the service he's given to his country over the past four years, there has been much we've disagreed with but nonetheless I'd like to congratulate him.

This term has seen man changes in Dorvik, most notably I'd like to point to the fantastic tax and spending reforms implemented by my party and supported by the State Council. There had been a few bumps along the way sure, and it took a long time for this to get implemented, but I think we can now all see the progress that has been made. We have a strong, healthy surplus whilst income and corporation tax is at its lowest in decades, and spending is still being allocated sensibly, with no major disruptions coming from minor cuts. It is this budget reform I am most proud of in my soon to be five years as your President, I feel it shall be my biggest impacting legacy on Dorvik.

In this term we saw the implementation of the SAB project. Now there was some shaky ground regarding it, some controversy, but now we have some of the best preparation for the tasks and challenges facing Dorvik internationally that we have had in many, many years. I can't take credit for this, but again I'd like to thank the State Chancellor and his party for implementing it, which will be seen as another hallmark of this term.

Another law which I am particularly proud of is the passing of our reform on nuclear weapons, which has helped made Terra more rational and safer for future generations. The previous law, reserving the right to use nuclear weapons in retaliation to any attack had me uneasy, nuclear weapons are a serious business, their potential use would have unchangeable ramifications for possibly centuries, this is not something we can risk on a whim. Safeguards were required and I'm glad we have a sensible one now in place.

A new, exciting procedure which will be taking place in the upcoming election is the first Gubernatorial election, which will elect two governors per province with a grand total of ten governors being elected. These governors will improve local administration and local democracy in Dorvik. One of the numerous advantages of this new, bold system is the concerns of local people can be voiced through these Governors directly to the President, which will help keep our next President informed on local concerns.

Now, you hear me say our "next" President, as many of you here know, I am not standing for re-election. I will have served a full five years as your President, but I feel it is my time to leave. Do note I have lead my party for a lot longer than I've lead the nation, I was first elected party leader back in 4115 after all. I'm proud of what I've accomplished for my country, but I feel it is the ample time for me to step down, and for a new voice to lead Dorvik.

There is one more person I'd like to thank in particular, and that is Meik Brandt, the parliamentary leader of my party, he's served his party well, and I wish him and the rest of the team the very best!

Goodbye ladies and gentlemen, have a splendid night.
