Bill: Gubernatorial Election Results 4127

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 4196

Description[?]:

This is the first election since the discussion of the Governors bill was proposed. For the sake of RP lets say it's been passed and we now have governors.

Following the election result, it seems there is a tie between the Conservatives and the Progress/Radical Alliance, with 5 Governors each. The Alliance have both Westmark Governors, the Conservatives have both Miktar Governors, whilst both parties have one each from Dorvan, Largonia and Kordusia.

Please specify the names of your Governors in the comments.

MessageThe terms of appoiting governors said nothing about alliances so the appointment of the Radical Party's governor should be discussed first.

MessageAlliances should not be treated like single party. The results of this election are in favour of DKF in fact giving them 6 Governors to appoint, and 4 governors for appoint to from the Progress Party.

MessageThe Progress/Radical Alliance is an electoral alliance, meaning where possible we elect joint candidates. This isn't possible in game mechanics as we're allocated the same seats, but with the proportional representation system we have it's not really needed anyway. But with other elections, for example the Presidential Elections, you'll note we run a shared candidate, and the same method is used for Governors. In Westmark combined the Alliance has over 50%, thus the Alliance gets both. The Alliance is effectively one party, that's how it's practically listed on the wiki.

MessageEllectoral alliance is not a political party. If FP and RP were a single party both parties would have voted the same in every voting process in staatsrat and we know and see that you are not doing so. So the Alliance may be 'one party' on the paper but 'effectively' it is not.

So I ask the DKF for their oppinion and declare support that one of the gubernatorial seats belong to the DKF giving them 6 out of 10 govern. The matter can be voted uppon to decide who should get this one seat. I know this is
