Message | I would suggest that, rather than be slave to this "divisible by 5" rule, we simply repeal the law that forces equal representation to each region. The number of seats to each region should only depend on population, in order to ensure that each vote counts equally much. I will propose an amendment shortly. |

Message | Actually, I see now that seats per region *are* given representation based on population size, and that they don't have an enforced equal number. This means that we can have 631 seats without any problems. |

Message | As said into a private message, independently by the option we could choice: the difference of population are so little that currenty, with the law which already graants a proportional distribution of the seats based on the population http://classic.particracy.net/viewvariables.php?nationid=39, the number of seat for eachone is the same. The "problem" which "make us slave", it's part of the "mechanics of the game", not something that we can modify. The concept "divisible by 5" avoid bug and other technical problems of the game. I support this bill |

Message | Like I have said already (also in private message), as long as the distribution of seats among regions is proportional, and not the "equal regardless of population size" option, then having 631 deputies will work perfectly well. Virtually all countries have regions with more or less equal population size, and they do it just fine. You have to simply take my word on this, as it seems like many of you have never played anywhere where the current Istalian "divisible by 5" principle has not been in place. I have, however -- and again, I'm telling you: it will work just fine with 631. |

Message | OOC: ok, let's leave the history of divisibility by 5. I, personally, prefer 635 for an aesthetic issue only. I like more to read "635" rather than "631" :P |
