This is a ban on communism-which is a destructive and dangerous force that threatens to lead any country which adopts it to collapse-and protect our nation's from its tyranny. Article [1] - Summary: Ratifiers of this treaty may not nationalise energy. Article [2] - Summary: Ratifiers of this treaty may not nationalise industry. Article [3]: Ratifiers of this treaty agree to actively seek out extreme communism and to halt the progress of extreme communism, particularly in government. This article may be interpreted by each ratifying nation in various ways. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, we fully agree with those arguments that communism poses a threat to values of democracy and social-market-economy which my party advocates for but we are not entirely convinced that national share in production of energy and presence of national industry is a negative thing. Our current law provisions ban the government from seizing private property which include seizing industrial enterpises. We are against any radical stance on this issue and would rather discuss it in the parliament than bind ourselves with this treaty. Aaron Posse, DSU leader. |
