| Mr. Speaker, we once again introduce this proposal to the Staatrat. Based on Simon Wesel's plan from 4095. Dorvisch Soziale Union is proposing a bill which would change the currently obligatory law on the conditions allowing the procedure of pregnancy termination. We think that currently law allowing the procedure to be conducted only during first and second trimester should be changed to law allowing to conduct abortion only in medical emergencies, when: (IN THOSE TWO CASES THE ASSESMENT IS MADE BY GYNAECOLOGIST (DOCTOR OF MEDICINE)) - sustaining the pregnancy is puting the life and health of the mother in danger, - situation when the parental care results clearly indicates high possibility of severe and irreversible impairment or incurable, life-threatening disease of the fetus (preculisive to unasisted extrauterine existance), (IN THIS CASE THE ASSESMENT IS MADE BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AFTER CONDUCTING AN INVESTIGATION) - pregnancy is a result of a criminal act (rape), (IN THIS CASE THE ASSESMENT IS MADE BY SOCIAL-ECONOMIC COUNCIL) - social and financial difficulties in raising up the child Elias Sachs, DSU Health and Soc.
