Message | We will oppose. We are basing our opinions on the knowledge we have of nuclear power per the knowledge of the early 20th century. Saying things like "it's safe because it's 2180" is ridiculous, since corollary statements could be made announcing that medicine is no longer needed, sine it's 2180 and people no longer get sick. Therefore, basing our opinions on the knowledge we have of nuclear power in THIS century, we can not support a measure that would create a power source which is so monumentally unsafe. Nuclear power plants have the capability to desolate whole regions of Rildanor should mistakes be made. Furthermore, the resulting nuclear waste is a real concern. Finally, nuclear power plants provide terrorists the perfect target to attack and create widespread chaos. |

Message | OOC: Nuclear power plants of today are safe as well, so what are you afraid of? A repeat explosion of the old, low-maintained nuclear plants of the Soviet Union? IC: Nuclear will make it easier to meet our energy demands and it is clean. It should satisfy everyone, businesses and environmentalists alike. |

Message | "Nuclear power plants of today are safe as well, so what are you afraid of? A repeat explosion of the old, low-maintained nuclear plants of the Soviet Union?" I was thinking more of the Three Mile Island mess in the good old U S of A. |

Message | Uhm, not really totally informed about this matter, but does nuclear power not generate nuclear waste? As in, bad for all, huge time to get rid of it? Oh and why can our energy not be provided by renewable energy? First of all, it can. Second of all, to repeat point 3 in favor for renewable energy: It provides more and is more profitable, because it is the year 2180 is it not? Third of all, we have had no trouble with using only renewable energy for.. years and years and decennia. Fourth is the repeat of the hazards created with one slip up, be it by mistake in the nuclear power plant, or by an attack or whatever. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
