Bill: Adoption Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Unsubmissive Beluzian Workers Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4131
Description[?]:
Only 12.16% approve of the new law. We shouldn't prevent capable applicants from adopting children by having them pass several tests asking about things unrelated to adoption, such as their ages, number of children, gender etc. We also shouldn't put a lot of burden on families by having them attend classes that are very thorough and vigorous when teaching about adoption. The Government should distribute detailed leaflets on how to be good parents and adopt children. Also, adoption policy should be set by local governments, so that our government and our people will have more freedom on issues that are not major issues facing our nation |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning adoption.
Old value:: Adoption is strictly regulated by the government. Only by passing several tests and by following an intensive program applicants can adopt children.
Current: Adoption is regulated by the government. Applicants can adopt after a routine check-up.
Proposed: Adoption policy is to be established by local governments.

Message | I wish our party had seats so we could endorse this amazing bill proposed by our friends of the Radical Revolutionary Party. We all know and probably agree with how serious adoption is. Yes, we all need to make background checks, after all, children are not toys, they can't just be given away while we act as if they're somebody else's problem. But we can't make adoption so damm difficult either. There are a lot of families in our nation willing to give love to those abandoned. We, as their government, shouldn't be acting as a barrier... P.S.: Sorry for the poor english. It's not my first language |

Random quote: "The problem is big government. If whoever controls government can impose his way upon you, you have to fight constantly to prevent the control from being harmful. With small, limited government, it doesn't much matter who controls it, because it can't do you much harm." - Harry Browne |
