Message | Fellow comrades! We love our friends of the Radical Revolutionary Party because they never hide fromthe most controversial debates. That's believing in your point. We trust all the parties will read our intervention because we will accept our friends invitation to this public dance to say a few things. First of all, Article 1: perfect! We agree with everything. The use of animals for cosmestics research is borderline cruel in our view. A lot of lobbyists argue that the cosmetics industry are not just about beauty and futility; they do an amazing job with people that suffer with low self esteem because of terrific accidents, burns, and whatnot. They're right, but being fallacious. The animals used in those researches are not being analysed in how beautiful they look after using the products, obviously. They are used to see how dangerous some ingredients are. As we know from our own researches, instead of measuring how long it takes a chemical to burn the cornea of a rabbit’s eye, manufacturers can now drop that chemical onto cornea-like 3D tissue structures produced from human cells. Likewise, human skin cultures can be grown and purchased for skin irritation testing. Having said that, we would just like to point it out that Article 2 can and should be available for future public debates in this house. We will trust the intelligence of our friends to concede that not all animals are mammals. Instead of banning the use of animals of all researches (that's a scary thought for a scientist), we could appeal in favor of the use of less complex organisms whenever possible. For example bacteria, fruit flies, etc. All lifes matter, of course, but we are just showing the side of some studies that absolutely need to replicate the experience on animals to get more trustworthy results. In this case, this House needs to legislate to ensure the best possible treatment of the animals used in a study. This means reducing pain and suffering as much as possible. When appropriate, anesthesia should be used. But we will vote yes as of now. This is a very important bill, and we are very proud to see some of our colleagues moving laws to guarantee a more civilized society, like Beluzia deserves for its great people.
