| Following calls from politicians on both sides of the House, President Octavius Black has announced that a statue will be built to honour the life of Alexandra Burgmuller - known to many as the architect of modern day Conservatism. The memorial will be a life-sized memorial of former President Burgmuller, who passed away aged 96. Also known as the Founding Figure she helped to bring together the Centre-Right coalition that has dominated Baltusian politics ever since. President Black said: "Margaret Burgmuller was a conservative, a patriot and one of this country's great leaders. She shaped modern politics and left opposition parties in her wake. This memorial will remind generations to come of her legacy." The bronze cast statue will be erected in Liberty Square, near to the entranceway to the House of Congress. |
