Bill: Increasing Assembly Session Duration Act of 4133
Details
Submitted by[?]: Nouveau Centre
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4134
Description[?]:
Monsieur le President, As we have pushed for before, we would like to see a modest increase in the length of the term of government. Not only is it too short for a sustained and stable government to deeply analyze, debate, and vote upon various policies, but it leads to too frequent elections with the risk of debilitating long-term stability and change. I yield. Aurelien Chatal Prime Minister Deputy for Tiralouse (Nouveau Centre) |
