Bill: Lowering the Corporate Tax Act of 4133

Description[?]:

Monsieur le Président,

I will refer to a statement made by Baptiste Ferrand, CEO of Delamare S.A., a major worldwide pharmaceutical company and the second-largest company in Rildanor:

"Rildanor's corporate tax rates and economic policies are debilitating to the long-term success of Rildanorian companies. These companies limit the profitability of businesses like Delamare, hampering growth and limiting production, while also discouraging investment in Rildanor by foreign companies. Delamare strongly urges the Rildanorian government to reduce the corporate tax rate, privatize industries that businesses rely on so they are more efficient (such as the postal industry), and make Rildanor more amenable to innovation and business." - http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=7065#p108371

It is necessary for Rildanor to lower our oppressive tax rate in order to attract businesses. Istalian businesses interested in investing in Rildanor, such as Enist (Energia Istaliana), have hesitated due to the extremely high corporate tax rate which literally takes half of all profits made. This is absurd, and I call upon all sensible parties to favor a modest reduction.

I yield.

MessageYet we have a GDP of only 800B RCR. Our target is more than 900B RCR. Your proposed measure wont contribute much to Rildanor GDP but to the interests of those corporations.

MessageOOC: In case you haven't been keeping up with the forums, corporation and forum RP is weighted more heavily than in-game economic statistics because they're 1) unreliable, and 2) are not standardized across Terra (some nations have 100% unemployment, etc.). While our GDP figure might say something like 900B or 800B or whatever, it really doesn't come across as realistic since nowhere in the developed world do you see a corporate tax rate of 50%.

Messageooc: This is in support of the player. well we just want to play the game as it has many bugs. Just pretend that the figures generated are important. otherwise what will be anyone's basis if the party handling of the economy is good or not?
