MessageWe're throwing money away with our public banks, just like those underdeveloped socialist-collectivist states. There's nothing disgusting about that.

MessageThe purpose of banks is to be useful for the public, not to generate profit for some individuals. Government run banks ensure this. If you don't understand this you're lost.

MessageNo. From wikipedia: "A bank is a financial institution that accepts deposits from the public and creates credit. & Interest is payment from a borrower or deposit-taking financial institution to a lender or depositor of an amount above repayment of the principal sum (i.e. the amount borrowed). It is distinct from a fee which the borrower may pay the lender or some third party."

The whole point of a bank is to enable credits and then gaining some profit. Privat banks then compete against each other lowering interest rates and improving everyone's lives. Individuals who profit, always invest their money, every rich banker does that.

MessageOOC: Lol I am saying something in IC and now you just answer with a wikipedia article. What's wrong with you? Are you just unable to rp or do you not want to rp. If so just quit the game. This is completely stupid.

MessageOOC: It's a fact, I've included a fact and named the source (because I didn't want to plagiarise) and used it in my argument. It is a part of my IC RP. It's really not my problem if you deny facts or dislike them.

MessageOOC: Referring to wikipedia IC is a violation of the rules. Oh and which politician would quote Wikipedia. Also just because wikipedia states "facts" the purpose of banks doesn't become less arguable.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
