Bill: The Exotic Animal Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Parti de la Liberté Démocratique
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4138
Description[?]:
While the trade is exotic animals is currently regulated by the national government (as it should be), it is irresponsible for the government to allow private citizens to own such animals. Individuals in most cases do not have the training, experience, equipment, or mindset to properly care for such creatures, and allowing wild, untamed animals to be owned in such a way poses a threat to public safety and the general welfare. Zoos and other scientific institutions are the only suitable places for animals to be held and given happy, healthy lives. |
