Bill: National Service Removal Act 4138
Details
Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 4139
Description[?]:
As currently well known, one of our party's trademark policies is to remove National Service in any form. Even in times of war, we should not force our young men and women into the armed forces, some are simply not built for the military in any form, we need to stop this highly authoritarian practise. In times of war we should instead encourage further recruitment through choice, not through force. Now our State Council thankfully, most likely has enough members willing to vote for its removal once and for all, we proudly place this bill up for a vote in the State Council! |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Are we really going to change our military service law every time a new cabinet is in the majority? This is very irrational, dangerous move lowering the security of our country. The same can be seen in the flag desacration bill. Fabian Basinger, DSU leader. |

Message | Mr Basinger, Hopefully the policy on national service will not continue to fluctuate, because hopefully we will permanently remove it! Your rationale we could argue is instead dangerous, we should not force people into serving our country in times of war in the form of military service. If anything it is a better move for the security of our country, as without the service, in times of war we will only have fully committed and patriotic soldiers serving, not the reluctant people we are only angering by forcing their service. As for your statement about the flag desecration bill, that is utterly unrelated to this, and how does burning a symbol endanger national security? Sara Voight, Parliamentary Leader of the Progress Party, Finance Minister |

Message | Mrs. Voight, "permanently remove it" please don't make me laugh... I HEARBY PROMISE THAT IF IN THE FUTURE UNION OF DORVISCH CONSERVATIVES will regain majority the military service will be restored to ensure the security of our citizens. The flag desacration is not seen as a threat to national security but to national integrity and our culture and tradition and I spoke about the flag desacration bill more as an example of jostlings in the State Councill. Fritz Bauer, DSU leader. |

Message | Mr Bauer, So one rule for you, another for me? If you're in power you commit to one policy, if I'm in power your demand a referendum. You blast me for doing the same thing you would do in my shoes, hypocrisy at is finest! As I have stated, that is an entirely separate issue to that of which is presented in this bill. Message | Mrs. Voight, Your party starter this crisis with military service removal in the first place a decade ago and your party did not hold a referendum on the issue which clearly should be resolved with a referendum. Fritz Bauer, DSU leader. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
