Bill: Private School Regulation Act 4139

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4140

Description[?]:

We believe that private educational establishments should have stronger, basic regulations, as of present the only regulation private establishments seem to have in this sector is that they follow the national curriculum. Now many in this State Council will argue regulation will make private establishments less effective and worthwhile, however the heavy regulation to ensure adequate teaching of skills and information under this bill shall not hinder them too heavily, and specialist schools will continue to be able to teach in their specialised ways sufficiently. What this bill does is instead safeguard against incompetence.

MessageMr. Spaker,

it is really hard to follow the thought of the Progress Party and the slave party which the Green party has become. Let's allow for hardcore porn in the television but ban the children from full range of education and condemn them for limited, and IRRATIONAL boundaries imposed by the state.... THIS STUPID BILL SHOWS THE LEVEL OF INCOMPETENCE of incumbent cabinet. National Curicullum obliges private school to teach adequate skills and information and ANY additional regulation block the full capability of provate educational insitutions.

MessageMrs Bott,

Here we go again with the name calling! Again your party is bringing up other bills, and our stance on that bill is well known, we don't have the same screamish, intrusive social conservatism that your party has. As for your statements about "banning children from a full range of education", what utter nonsense you're speaking. All this bill does is safeguard regulations to make sure schools are teaching adequate skills and information, which hopefully they are doing so already. It's about time the DSU got a better perspective!

MessageMr Schellscheidt,

The National Curriculum which private educational institutions are obliged to follow secures that they provide the same service as their public counterparts.

MessageMrs Bott,

The national curriculum mandates what is in our pupils curriculum, it determines what they are taught. There is more to regulation than just this, including the hours schools are open and so forth.

MessageMrs. Voight,

The open hours and so forth of private schools is the issue of the private schools. And the government has no intrest in regulating that. If parents will not be satisfied by the service provided by the private institutions they will not send their children to those schools.

MessageMr Bott,

What a careless position to take. Of course we should have basic regulations on matters such as those.

MessageMrs. Voight,

"There is a free public education system and a small number of private schools, which are heavily regulated to ensure they teach adequate skills and information." HEAVILY REGULATED. HEAVILY.... I think that everyone in the SC will see the difference of soft, basic regulations and those HEAVY proposed in the bill.

I. Bott.

MessageMr Bott,

Well if anyone knows about working around exactly what's written in a proposal, than it is by far your party with its continuous, failed abortions bills, making acceptations in the draft of the bill that aren't explicitly stated in the proposal. We'd appreciate if you'd give our party the same leniency by not taking this bill at face value.

The fact remains, we NEED regulations, sensible regulations in our private education establishments. Having only a national curriculum is not sufficient, we should not have schools which are free to have ridiculous opening times for example. We need to look after our children Mr Bott, whether they go to state schools or private schools.

The fact remains, we DO NOT NEED regulations, sensless regulations in our private education establishments. And thank god, majority of the State Council shares this view.

MessageMr Bott,

You call basic opening and closing hours senseless? You call keeping private teachers in check, administration in check pointless? I remember when the DSU called our party anarchistic. Rather ironic is it not ladies and gentlemen?

MessageMrs. Voight,

I am just saying that basic opening and closing hours are not heavy regulations the bill proposes. Opening and closing hours does need to be established by imposing strick and heavy regulations. Ladies and gentlemen I remind you that Mrs. Voight comes from a party that wanted to deregulate industrial hemp and allow for hardcore porn in the television and now accuses us of anarchistic stance... it's... funny...

Fritz Bauer, DSU Leader.
