Bill: Income tax proposal of December 4139
Details
Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4140
Description[?]:
This is an income tax proposal to generate more revenue we can invest into our nations budget. Although parties in the State Council have stated they will not support additional taxes, most notably the DSU, we will nonetheless push ahead with this bill. Taxes for the lowest earners in our society have remained the same and low, we have introduced a new bracket at income at 45k or over, and increased the tax bracket for those on 50k and 70k; those who can afford taxes the most. This is still a much more reasonable tax bill than many across Terra, we have only increased taxes for the top two brackets by a percent. We believe this minor increase in taxes is necessary so we can fund our budget more efficiently and stop the underfunding certain services are receiving. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Here we have an example of how thievish and immoral Progress Party and Green Party really are. Dividing our citizens by imposing unfair taxation system. Communistical thought that if one's earn more he or she should pay more taxes. This is an absurd and I, my party and our Alliance will fight this sort of bills untill a fair, simple system will be implemented. I wish this cabinet of thievs and swindlers a quick fall. Thank you, Fritz Bauer, DSU Leader. |

Message | Mr Bauer, Those with more money paying more taxes than those on a very small wage is more than fair enough. There's a reason your Union suffered great losses in the last election, and that was people's fear that you'd try and implement a flat tax system. Your party has supported progressive tax proposals in the past before, I suggest you adjust your views to match that of the Dorvish people once more! Sara Voight, Parliamentary Leader of the Progress Party, Finance Minister |

Message | Mrs. Voight, and there we can see your communistical thinking. How can you be our finance minister if you do not know that citizens with very small wage are released from paying the income tax as the threshold was set at 15.000 DDO and I remind you that the average wage in our country is at 14.000 DDO level and that is the average and the minimum wage is at 9.000 level and the threshold set at 15.000 DDO releses them from paying the income tax. "more than fair enough" HAHAHA. Looks like someone in the Progress Party has pushed "Engage Communism" button. You were the one scare of the flat income tax system. As for the threshold of course, you are the least expirenced finance minister in our nation's history and how can we expect from you that you'll know the basic facts about our system... Fritz Bauer, DSU Leader. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, one more thing, Mrs. Voight, but please do continue gibbering about the "economic damage" that the UDC allegedly commited. You are not damaging our economy, you are knocking in the nails into its coffin. Fritz Bauer, DSU leader. |

Message | Mr Bauer, By your logic, anyone not committed to a flat tax system is a communist. You need to refine your knowledge on ideology! Whilst that was one good thing you did, it was well known you were pushing for a flat income tax, and that's what put many off your party. If we had things your way, we would be taxing the poorest earners the same amount as millionaires! I'm very sure the poor won't be thanking you for increasing their taxes, unless of course you plan on bankrupting the nation by taxing everyone at 7% income tax. *laughter in the State Council* Your bullying attitude, speaking about inexperience, name calling! Please do try and keep at least some of your toys in the pram Mr Bauer! for the Chief Executive of Dorvisch National Intelligence Agency |

Message | Mrs. Voight, by our logic anyone who thinks that imposing irrationally high taxes on people earning more and by irrational, I mean iposing higher taxes in the times of economic growth is a communist and not only a communist but also an idiot. We're not in a recession! Please stop giving everyone lessons on ideology. POOR DO NOT PAY INCOME TAX IN OUR COUNTRY AND IT WAS DSU WHO PUT THAT LAW INTO LIFE. And yet you keep talking about increasing taxes for the poor. Please stop playing fake applaudes through the speakers Mrs. Voight. You are the minister of finance and the first thing I and many others demand from you is expirence. And unfortunately You seem to have none. Fritz Bauer, DSU leader. P.S. It seems as everyone in the State Councill opened their eyes... And I really, really thank Every one for saving our country's economy and our citizen's money. |

Message | Mr Bauer, Irrationally high taxes? The DSU are exaggerating a fair bit do you not think? Check the current income tax system, then take a look at this. Compare the numbers. There's nothing irrational about this, nothing extravagant. It's a basic, simply tax increase for the richer in our society. We are proposing a modest increase in taxes in order to put more funding into education and healthcare, which your party and alliance SLASHED. These departments require more funding, and with this modest increase in taxes and some re-juggling of the budget, we will provide that. People pay taxes for a reason, and that is to fund things! Does your party honestly believe it is fair that someone earning 15k should pay the same percentage of tax as someone on 70k? That's equality of taxation, but that's not what our party believes in, no, we believe in EQUITY! Do tell me, what would YOUR party propose? What would your party propose as a flat income tax? What would be your bracket? As for your comments on applause, are you having delusions thinking I pretended to clap? *turns to the back benches* I'm pretty sure all these people applauded me just a moment ago! Sara Voight, Parliamentary Leader of the Progress Party, Finance Minister |

Message | Mr. Speaker, we urge the green party to oppose this irrational, unfair and not necessary bill as we are not in recession, our economy expiriences growth and our public services level is very high. Erna Repo, DSU finance spokeswoman. |
