Bill: Corruption Removal Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Leftist Unitist Coalition

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4144

Description[?]:

As with any good, pure democracy, we as a nation should seek a path of generosity and not that of corruption. For too long our political landscape has been plagued by corruption, caused in part by the abnormal term length and the large salaries given to those in charge. A leader who leads out of the good of their heart and out of love and care for the citizens is the leader needed for our nation, and as such, the salaries for our leaders need not to be so high.

MessageAnd ideally article 1 should be a small salary.

MessageWhat is the issue with Article 2? Would you prefer 36?

OOC: I made it so low because of the fact that this nation seems to only have two main active parties, and four years in between elections would make things boring and systematic, in my opinion

Message36 would be preferable. There just needs to be enough time to get things done.

MessageWe belive that 4 years is optimal for a government and should not be changed....

MessageWhy is that? As I said I'm open to debate I would just like a reason as to why 4 years is preferable to 3?

MessageBecause laws take a lot of time...espacially constitutional amendments which take close to 1 and a half years limiting the mandate time means limiting to amount of progress that we can achieve

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.

Random quote: "Politics is all about compromises and negotiations, nothing more, nothing less." - Augusto Amadeo, former Istalian politician
