Bill: Debate over 'Ethnic Cleansing' in the World Congress

Details

Submitted by[?]: Patriotic Party of Baltusia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4147

Description[?]:

Members of Congress,

Our ambassador to the World Congress, Otto Blick, has just informed me of an ongoing debate, which once agains shows why we should work together to overcome foreign adversaries rather than spend out time endlessly arguing about the same domestic policies.

http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6914&start=140

The Aldegarian Ambassador has accused our nation of carrying out ethnic cleansing by expelling the Aldegarians, They have also inferred we will use torture or other sinister methods on Aldegarians in order to ensure this expulsion takes place. Our deportation zones have also been likened to concentration camps.

Of course, Mr Blick has refuted these claims and set out the reason for the bills we passed and why they were necessary.

So, despite believing this matter was diffusing, we now find the matter is once again in the international spotlight.

I hope all members of this house will once again come together to show a united front on this matter and I ask for constructive ways we can bring this to a satisfactory conclusion.

President Ralph Mason

MessageWe must lay out the facts. We have nothing to fear from the WC if we do this as Aldegar is the one sponsoring aggression.

MessageThere has been a proposition for Resolution 11 in the Security Council that heavily involves Baltusia:

Resolution 11 wrote:
Recognising that a misunderstanding and misreporting of facts is central to the current period of heightened tensions between Baltusia and the Glorious Shahdom of Aldegar, the Security Council shall authorise and facilitate a fact-finding and peace-keeping force to enter Baltusia, with the co-operation of the Baltusian government. These operations shall be conducted primarily by the Federation of Zardugal, the Kingdom of Kazulia and the United Republic of Kalistan. The Security Council shall appoint a committee to oversee the mission.

The objectives shall be to establish whether the treatment of Aldegarians in Baltusia, specifically their reported mass expulsion, is fair, just and humane and if it is not, ensure that changes are made. Furthermore, investigations will be conducted to determine the truth behind the plethora of accusations levied against Baltusia.

MessageWe thank all parties for their support in this matter. We will, of course, co-operate fully with the Security Council and show them that Baltusia has nothing to hide.

MessageFederation of Zardugal, and the United Republic of Kalistan stated in the wiki they are against Valruzia tho? This makes no sense as we support Baltusia and have done way less action and not done anything against Aldegar!

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset.

Random quote: "My tenure will be controversial and it is, quite obviously, true that I am the most right-wing Prime Minister this country has seen in several decades.” - Margaret Woodhall, former Dranian politician
