Bill: Industrial Hemp Amendment Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Unity Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4148

Description[?]:

Mr President, Honorable members

It is unfair to sanction the development and production of industrial hemp. This move has hindered the growing potential of the development of the hemp sector by farmers and private sector where Hemp products can be created locally for consumption and exports , which will also provide more jobs and grow the economy along with added revenues for the state. Therefore to unlock such an economic potential for the state and its citizens, we must remove the sanctions on hemp and legalize the production of industrial hemp.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.
