Bill: IMPORTANT: New HoS Title

Details

Submitted by[?]: Front Canrillaise

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2186

Description[?]:

Now that the HoS and HoG have merged I think a new title is in order. I say this because Alduria also is using Chairman, and so we need to be unique I suppose. Also, it would be weird to refer to a female HoS as a ChairMAN.

So any suggestions?

MessageGovernor is a regional title, not a national figure. While I'm not opposed to getting a new HoS title, we should look beyond that. Can't think of any now, though, other than Chairperson.

MessageEek, you are so right about the gender of Chairman. In that vein I am for change aswell. But I can't think of any good titles currently.

MessageFine for me too but the last time I introduced President I failed to garner enough support. Maybe this time all parties can agree?

I still need the support of both the PNUM and the DEP.

Message400 will be needed to pass, but I think you might want to wait till after the elections, the problem is that we have two inactive parties which makes constitutional changes very difficult to pass.

MessageI hate President. Besides, you said "I say this because Alduria also is using Chairman, and so we need to be unique I suppose." and President is one of the most commonly used names, is it not? And Chairman-president? You just said about gender and then you have that one amongst your proposals?
President is so common, so bland, so dull and is too much related to the real world.
I remember the PC proposing "Grand Pumba" once, hehe.
Okay, let's see what I can think up of. Though ofcourse Majesty combined with the Monarchy bill would be nice too..

Possibilities: Sovereign, Chief, Revered, Leader, Leader of the Helm, Leader of the Nation, Visionary, Regent, Chieftain, Guide, Shepherd, Director, Notable, Eminence.

Possible things which can be placed infront: The Great, The Dear, The Glorious, The Exemplary.

'Grand Pumba' is eliminated

Only Sheperd and Sovereign are in for a rematch, President can be used in a bill and I propose we make another bill with Sheperd or Sovereign.

MessageWait, why was the President eliminated. I suppose we'll vote for Shepherd (make sure it's spelt right) over Soveriegn, but like the Proletariat Coalition, we'd rather have neither. In fact, I'd rather have Chairman, which we don't much oppose.

We'll vote to change the HoS title to one of these less desirable choices if we can have everyone's commitment to ditch the "Rotunda Assembly."

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.
