| This resolution would declare an national day of mourning in response to the tragic loss of Ethanal White. 1.) in order to commemorate and celebrate the life and legacy of Ethanal White, as well as to mourn and grieve his loss, today will be declared a national day of mourning. 2.) all flags shall be flown at half mast for the next 7 days in honour and respect for Mr. White 3.) State agencies and public schools shall be closed for the day out of reverence and respect. 4.) There will be a vigil outside of the capital building where friends, family, an supporters can pay their respects to Mr. White as well as to mourn his untimely death. |

I worked well with Mr. White, and he will always be known for his ready smile, his willingness to compromise, and his tendency to avoid pettiness, all traits that are increasingly becoming a rarity in this chamber every four years.
