| Message | Honourable members of the Chamber of Deputies, Ratifying this policy is the biggest contribution you can make to security in Artania. Currently the Ardinian separatists and their allies in Guaduridos are escalating the situation with threats of military conflict. The Rutanian government have not issued threats of any kind, and have merely maintained that Ardinian secession is illegal, that Ardinia remains an integral part of Rutania, and that there exists no mechanism in Ardinian law for a state to secede. You can trust the Rutanian government not to contribute to this one-sided escalation, and to work to preserve peace in the region. As neighbours, I hope that Istalia will help us in these efforts. We hope that our allies should recognise the integrity of the Rutanian state and defend us against violent separatists and the predatory interference of foreign powers. Our next course of action is to raise this matter with the Security Council, and as such we will of course favour candidates for that body who will maintain peace in Rutania.
