Description[?]:
Members of Congress, Following the ratification of the Treaty with Istalia, I can announce that a number of collaborative plans are now progressing to boost Baltusia's economy and to bolster our military. These are outlined in a interview that President De Michelis gave to an Istalian newspaper (ooc: scroll down for English translation): http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4118&p=110004#p110004 They include: The construction of the planet's largest green energy solar power plant here in Baltusia, taking advantage of our equatorial climate. Partnerships between our mineral and rare materials extraction companies to supply the Istalia pharmaceutical industry. A military base on the coast of Baltusia to increase our defence capacity and limit the threat of attack. Up to 200 military advisors being sent to Baltusia to train our armed forces in the most modern and sophisticated defensive and counterintelligence tactics and strategies. This is a very exciting time for our country as I am sure you will agree and partnership working like this is the best way forward for our nation. Congress will be asked to vote on all these initiatives following the election. Thank you and good luck to all parties. Outgoing President Ralph Mason |
