| Claudio De Michelis, President of the Republic: "Hon. MPs, I'm here to demand to vote to this resolution to authorize a military mission, which will be called "Scudo di Rutania", to send in Rutania to defend the local Government from foreign attack and to cut the supply channels to the Ardinian Rebels from the foreign. The Mission will pursue the following objectives: - back up the Rutanian Navy in the naval blockade - securize the rutanian territorial water - prevent the arrive in Rutania of foreign supplies in support of Ardinia - counteract the foreign attack against the Rutanian Forces The Istalian Forces will be aimed only to avoid further external intromission in the internal affairs of Rutania and they will be not authorized to carry out offensive operations alongside the Rutanian Forces. One of our Air Naval Tactical Squad, with a little reinforcement, will compose our expeditionary force, which in datails will consist of: - 1 x Aircraft Carrier (NP Estalia) - 5 x Destroyers (NC Tramonto, NC Aurora, NC Firmamento, NC Illusione, NC Vespro) - 8 x Frigates (NF Audace, NF Condottiere, NF Invincibile, NF Furia, NF Terrore, NF Impavido, NF Condottiere, NF Rapido) - 8 x Submarines (NS Ombra, NS Nube, NS Oscurità, NS Nembo, NS Alessio Nervi, NS Pietro Quinti, NS Simone Alqudari, NS Abdul Al-Kassem) These units will be supported by: 1 x Logistic Support Ship (NA Mirco Gelsomini) 1 x Fuel Tanker (NAC Risata del Mattino) 1 x Research and multi-purpose support ship (NAM Ricercatore) The Rear Admiral Mario Ravelli will be the Commander of the Mission. The mission will start once the Parliament has endorsed this resolution and will take about 45 days to reach the territorial waters of Rutania. Thank you" |
